Dot NAME Domains
Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME gTLD is the sole TLD meant for personal web pages only. These domain names can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are popular by. At first, only third-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to reserve john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken third-level names remained running.
Through our firm, you can buy your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to update the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization code from the present domain service provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no special terms on who can get a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the objective behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.
The dot NAME generic domain extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the exact spelling in your local language.
