A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to invalid email addresses under the same domain. For instance, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can get messages from friends or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you have a shared web hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any e-mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel comes with quite a few functions, but it’s unbelievably simple to work with, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes only a click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be displayed in this section alphabetically and you will just need to click on the "Catch-all" button for the particular email address. Our system will inform you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or select another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as simple and requires yet another click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be enabled effortlessly in case you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up with the domains hosted in the account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll find a mini logo handily situated right next to each one. With just a click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate the feature through the menu that will surface. If any of the conditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will let you know, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
